I am sure you can tell by the title that this post is pretty scary! SO, the other day I was talking on the phone and hooked to a chord because my battery was dying. All the other kids were in bed and Cade of course, since he had a late nap was not quite ready to wind down. I was sitting down enjoying my phone conversation when all of a suuden I realized that Cade had been out of my sight for a full 2 minutes. ( It doesn't take him long to get into ANYTHING!) I yelled for Michael to please go and check on him and make sure he wasn't getting into anything. Michael went looking for him and I hear" NO! NO!" and a very loud scream from Cade. Michael had smacked his hand because he had a butcher knife and was trying to stick it into an electrical socket! AHHHHHH.....!!!! All of a sudden I heard choking noises and and looked into the kitchen to see Michael holding Cade over the sink as Cade began throwing up. I immediatley got off of the phone and ran in to see what was wrong. Apparently Cade had a toy in his mouth while he was sticking the knife into the socket! How bad can this get, right? So, when Michael smacked his hand, he cried and sucked the toy down his thoat! Michael was trying to figure out if he was choking or just really upset and couldn't catch his breath...talk abou ta very stressful situation for a Daddy!
We are SO thankful that our baby Cade is fine and shudder to think of the harm that could have come to him. We pray God's protection over him daily now! Each new day is a new journey with that precious little man! We love you TONS baby Cade!
